Community Outreach
Seed Sharing Box
Born from Andi’s Blessing Box and a continued desire to give back to the community, L4L has launched a Seed Sharing Box initiative. Our hope is to provide space for neighbors to swap garden seeds year-round, encourage new gardeners, and take the edge off the grocery bill. The decorative boxes will house seasonal seeds based on “Take Some and/or Leave Some.” The L4L Community vision for this ministry is to serve as a gateway of learning more about how to grow your own food in any space as well as finding other local area food resources such as but not limited to blessing boxes, community gardens, and local homesteaders of all sizes, in town and out. Thank you to our generous sponsors and The Piddlers for helping us bring the dream to life! There are currently 2 boxes placed in Huntington with two (2) more to come.

Blessing Box
Blessing Box aka Little Free Pantry is a nationwide initiative embraced by individuals, churches, small businesses, and government officials in efforts to fill the basic needs and staples of area residents. Huntington’s first #blessingbox was born of Live4Love and Learn4Life founder, Andrea Storms (aka Andi Lee). and her desire to help neighbors and community members in a shared time of needed relief.
The #blessingbox was a catalyst to an area wide ministry of giving tables filled with supplies such as food, health & beauty supplies, clothing, etc. During the Spring 2020 stay at home order there were approximately 15-20 sites with with everyday necessities available 24/7 on the terms of “take what you need” or “leave what you can”.
Although the pandemic has ended, economic uncertainty and hardship continues. Andi’s blessing box remains in her front yard, continuously stocked by neighbors, and blessing even more patrons. If you would like to have a box placed at your location, consider adopting one of 4 that were donated by local businesses.
